South Dakotans are the best at handling their finances according to a new CreditCards.com study based on credit scores, income and other factors.
The analysis compared the median annual household income and the average credit score in each state and the District of Columbia.
South Dakota with a median household income of $56,274 ranked 33rd in the nation, but its average credit score (727) tied for second-highest. That shows South Dakotans manage their money well; suggesting a high level of fiscal responsibility.
