Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer of the Sioux Falls Development Foundation, Dean Dziedzic provides leadership across the organization’s economic development, talent and workforce development, real estate, and business growth initiatives. He works closely with corporate executives, community leaders, investors, and regional partners to advance opportunities that strengthen Sioux Falls’ economy and position the community for continued growth.

Dean brings extensive experience in economic development, business recruitment, sales, and finance. Prior to becoming COO, he served as Vice President of Economic Development, where he worked with companies considering Sioux Falls for expansion, relocation, or investment and helped connect them with the resources needed to succeed.

A significant part of Dean’s economic development experience has been his involvement in the creation and growth of Foundation Park. From the park’s earliest planning and development, he has worked alongside businesses, developers, community partners, and other stakeholders, helping shape projects from their initial concepts through development and investment.

In his current role, Dean helps guide the Foundation’s overall operations and strategic priorities, with a focus on business investment, talent development, and the continued growth and competitiveness of the Sioux Falls region.

Outside of work, Dean enjoys spending time with his wife, their adult children, and grandchildren. He enjoys golf, running, traveling, and making the most of time with family and friends.
