Join us as we celebrate the groundbreaking for the new Northwest Elementary School with the Sioux Falls School District!
The new school will be located on the same parcel of land as George McGovern Middle School and will serve 680 students. This school is the last piece of a $190 million bond that was passed by voters in 2018 with a record-breaking 85.4% approval. The school name will be selected by a committee in early 2024.
Parking information: From I-29, go west on Maple Street. Turn south on Eagles Nest, which is just west of McGovern Middle School. Proceed to the McGovern MS parking lot (second entrance). Park on the south side of the parking lot.
