Join us as we celebrate with the City of Sioux Falls on a groundbreaking for the replacement of the wading pool and bathhouse facilities at McKennan Park!
This project will enhance the beloved wading pool and park for the community to ensure the pool is free and enjoyable for years to come. The new wading pool facility will feature zero-depth entry, minor spray features, an updated restroom and pool house, an expanded pool deck with new shading, and landscaping, including a sculpture that will recognize Helen McKennan, who donated the park land in 1906. This project is partially funded by a significant donation from Pierce and Barbara McDowell through the Sioux Falls Parks Foundation, an affiliate of the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation.
