Join us for a groundbreaking for the Great Plains Zoo African Lions Exhibit!
The Great Plains Zoo is bringing the roar of African Lions back to Sioux Falls in 2024 with a naturalistic and enriching habitat designed to meet the species-specific needs of the animals, while also promoting animal wellbeing and a dynamic visitor experience.
Attendees can park in the main lot and come through the entrance. The groundbreaking will take place at the site near the African Savannah, with refreshments and conversation following the event in the education center (located inside the museum).
