We are excited to announce that the City of Sioux Falls will be breaking ground on June 29th at 4:30pm for the Cherry Creek bike Trail Corridor. Please join us in celebrating this momentous occasion.
This project is Phase I of the Cherry Creek Trail Corridor and will create approximately 1.4 miles of trail connecting Legacy Park to Family Park, as well as providing the Hayward Park neighborhood a connection to the Sioux Falls trail system. The trail will be constructed in the natural area adjacent to the creek and will feature two pedestrian bridges and neighborhood connection to Family Park. Future phases of development will extend the trail north and connect trail users to multiple points of interest, including George McGovern Middle School, Jefferson High School, Southeast Tech, and ultimately the University Center.
The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at Family Park, 300 N. Ellis Rd. Sioux Falls, SD 57107, near the main parking lot.
