Project Coordinator & Executive Assistant

Katie Gebauer serves as the Foundation’s project coordinator and executive assistant. In her role, she supports the team across a wide range of areas, including event planning, graphic design, project coordination, and administrative tasks.

Before joining the Foundation, Katie graduated from South Dakota State University, where she studied graphic design, marketing, and advertising. She’s always been drawn to anything collaborative and creative, and was involved with SDSU’s campus newspaper, radio station, and various clubs. Her previous work experience includes Metro Communications and the South Dakota Unified Judicial System.

“Being part of such a diverse and ever-evolving role truly motivates me, and I’m excited about the opportunity to make a meaningful impact both at the Foundation and within our community,” Katie says. “I’m looking forward to strengthening relationships, gaining new insights from different perspectives, and continuously expanding my skills along the way.”

When she’s not using her talents to support the Foundation, Katie enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Henry, and their three dogs and cat. She also loves spending time with their families, soaking up the sun at the lake or reading by the pool, tending to her growing collection of plants, and taking in everything Downtown Sioux Falls has to offer.
