The region´s 27 high schools boast an enviable 91.7% graduation rate, nearly 6 percentage points above the national average. Lincoln High School enjoys top ratings for test scores in college prep, math, and reading (U.S. News & World Report 2015). O´Gorman High School has been named a National Blue Ribbon School three times. (U.S. Department of Education).

Advanced and accelerated learning opportunities as well as a full continuum of Advanced Placement courses are available within the area at both public and private schools. Dual credits are offered in high school to give students the option of pursuing college credits in advance. Alternative schooling options, including Spanish immersion and career and technical education, are also available.

Sioux Falls also offers options for private education at schools run by various religious denominations. Over 4300 elementary and secondary students are enrolled in private schools in the region.
